Simplified VAT Handling
Streamlining cross-border VAT processes.
Gerard Backx, CEO of Royal HZPC Group, was interviewed for the latest issue of AGF Primeur Magazine. At FoodQloud, we are proud of our partnership with Royal HZPC Group in implementing a new NetSuite ERP system.
Streamlining cross-border VAT processes.
Supporting seamless production across Europe.
Enhancing efficiency in finance, logistics, and administration.
Meeting the unique needs of the seed potato industry.
The seed potato market is under pressure this season due to wet weather conditions and a decrease in acreage. According to Gerard Backx, CEO of Royal HZPC Group, the available volume is reduced, leading to challenges in the sector. However, he does not expect a decrease in the overall potato acreage in Europe, as farmers continue to find creative solutions, such as the use of farm-saved seed.
The market balance has been disrupted, partly due to price increases in the French fry industry, causing a shift from seed potato cultivation to French fry potato cultivation. To address these challenges, HZPC is implementing a new ERP system in collaboration with FoodQloud. This system supports both long-term and short-term planning, providing HZPC with the flexibility to quickly adapt to changing conditions. With the implementation of this system, HZPC expects not only to work more efficiently but also to gain better insights into profitability per field, variety, or grower. This will enable the company to focus more on customer and grower relationships, without any job losses within the organization.
“We produce in eight different European countries, and the seed potato flows from these countries span across Europe. Managing VAT, for instance, becomes a highly complex matter, and that’s where an ERP system is essential.”
– Gerard Backx (CEO Royal HZPC Group)
At FoodQloud, we are proud to support Royal HZPC Group with the implementation of a new NetSuite ERP system enriched with FoodQloud apps. This enables HZPC to effectively harmonize processes across Europe. Despite the current market challenges, HZPC continues to innovate and adapt to secure the future of seed potato production.
